Volleyball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bees vs. Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack

The Bloomfield Bees will venture away from home to square off against the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Bloomfield has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Bloomfield hadn't beaten Plainview on the road since September 28, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Bees skirted past the Pirates 3-2.

Elgin/Pope John extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Gentry Zwingman. The Wolfpack blew past Creighton 3-0 on Monday for which the team can thank Zwingman, who had 22 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

While Elgin/Pope John won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14, 25-16.

Elgin/Pope John's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Bloomfield, their win bumped their record up to 18-9.
