Baseball Game Preview: Niles North Vikings vs. Niles West Wolves

For the second straight game, Niles North will face off against Niles West. The Vikings will host the Wolves at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Niles North is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Niles West just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2.

For Niles West's part, Yacoub Rayan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. Rayan has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Andrew Lim was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Niles West is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season. As for Niles North, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-8-1.
