Volleyball Recap: Forest Hills Takes a Loss

Forest Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newtown Pioneers.

Forest Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newtown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Forest Hills is set to challenge their familiar foe Bowne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Newtown will square off against rival Flushing at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
