Basketball Game Preview: Bush Blazers vs. Bear Creek Grizzlies

The Bush Blazers will take on the Bear Creek Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bush is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

On Friday, Bush made easy work of Overlake and carried off a 46-24 victory. The Blazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek hadn't done well against University Prep recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bear Creek enjoyed a cozy 39-24 win over University Prep. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Bush's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.4 points per game. As for Bear Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Bush was able to grind out a solid win over Bear Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 45-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bush since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
