Basketball Recap: Macksville Mustangs vs. LaCrosse Leopards
The Macksville Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against LaCrosse by a score of 36-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Macksville also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Macksville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kambry Adams out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Logan Sanders was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and five blocks.
Several Leopards players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Morgan, who scored eight points.
Macksville's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for LaCrosse, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-5.
Macksville will challenge the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaCrosse, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Ness City is ranked 172nd, while the Leopards are ranked 179th).
