North Wilkes had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the McMichael Phoenix on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won 18 contests in a row.

McMichael's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daisy Pinzon, who had 15 digs. Another player making a difference was Emily Smith, who had 11 digs and five assists.

North Wilkes' victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for McMichael, they moved to 22-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

North Wilkes has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Pine Lake Prep on the 25th. McMichael does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
