The Morgan Academy Senators won the last time they faced the Monroe Academy Volunteers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Morgan Academy enjoyed a cozy 65-46 win over Monroe Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Morgan Academy.
Morgan Academy found their leader in underclassman CJ Christopher Williams, who scored 32 points along with six steals and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Morgan Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Milton Hand, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Morgan Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Monroe Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Morgan Academy will head out on the road to take on Fort Dale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bessemer Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
