Baseball Game Preview: Milton Red Hawks vs. Fort Atkinson Blackhawks

For the second straight game, Milton will face off against Fort Atkinson. The Red Hawks will head out to take on the Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Milton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Milton took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fort Atkinson 3-1.

Trey Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.

At the plate, Milton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Thompson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Milton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fort Atkinson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-3.
