Soccer Recap: Alcoa Takes a Loss

Alcoa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lenoir City Panthers. Alcoa were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lenoir City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Alcoa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lenoir City, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alcoa will square off against rival South-Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lenoir City is set to face off against their familiar foe Sequoyah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
