Baseball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Takes a Loss

Elmwood/Plum City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spring Valley Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 last Monday.

Elmwood/Plum City's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Spring Valley, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Elmwood/Plum City has already played their next contest, a 10-7 defeat against Clear Lake on the 2nd. As for Spring Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Baldwin-Woodville on the 2nd.
