Football Recap: South Grand Prairie Starts Season with Victory Against Rowlett

South Grand Prairie had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their match with ease, bagging a 72-14 victory over the Rowlett Eagles. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Eagles are ranked 504th).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Grand Prairie will square off against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Rowlett, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Royse City at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
