Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for GVCS Broadfording

While GVCS Broadfording's win against Heritage Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Eagles 55-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since January 10th.

GVCS Broadfording's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fernando Garcia, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards gave Garcia a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Rosenfeld, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 14 points.

The victory (which was GVCS Broadfording's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. As for Heritage Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GVCS Broadfording will take on Spring Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Maryland School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
