Softball Recap: Southwick Regional Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sabis International last Friday, Southwick Regional came back down to earth. Southwick Regional took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Granby on Monday. The loss continues a trend for Southwick Regional in their meetings with Granby: they've now lost three in a row.

Southwick Regional got a big performance out of Ava Lightcap, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Brooke Comee was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI.

Southwick Regional now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Granby, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Southwick Regional will face off against rival Palmer at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Granby is set to challenge their familiar foe Ware at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
