Basketball Recap: Toledo Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northwood last Saturday, Toledo Christian came back down to earth. The Toledo Christian Eagles lost to the Ottawa Hills Green Bears at home by a 56-40 margin on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Green Bears earlier this season, when they won 64-55.

Ottawa Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Berenzweig, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Vanslooten, who posted 19 points and five rebounds.

Toledo Christian now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Ottawa Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Toledo Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-26 loss against Archbold on the 25th. As for Ottawa Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-36 defeat against North Baltimore on the 25th.
