Baseball Recap: Bishop DuBourg Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Affton, Bishop DuBourg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Crossroads Current an 18-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cavaliers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The win got Bishop DuBourg back to even at 2-2. As for Crossroads, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop DuBourg will head out to challenge Crystal City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crossroads, they will venture away from home to square off against Hancock at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Current will no doubt try to take advantage of.
