Game recap: Vacaville High School Football Team defeats Napa

NAPA, Calif. - Vacaville (Calif.) snapped Napa (Calif.)'s 5-game winning streak, with a 35-14 victory on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Curtis Goins in the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 21-7 at the half.

Goins played well for Vacaville in the victory. The senior halfback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.

Coming into the game VHS had allowed 27.4 points per game this year.

When the two teams played each other last season, the Bulldogs came away with a 35-21 victory.



The defeat comes as a step back for Napa, which notched a 23-6 victory over Wood in its previous outing. With the win Vacaville extended its winning streak to three games.

In a Monticello Empire game next week Napa (5-3) takes on Armijo, and Vacaville (5-3) will go up against Rodriguez also in a Monticello Empire game.
