Windom and Springfield are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Windom came up short against Fairmont and fell 5-1.

Meanwhile, Springfield strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop get on the board and left with a 12-0 win.

Olivia Sprenger was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kendall Krueger, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Springfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Windom's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Windom got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Springfield by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
