Volleyball Recap: Cherry Creek Takes a Loss

Cherry Creek came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Eaglecrest Raptors. The Bruins have struggled against the Raptors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Cherry Creek took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Lachlan McCown paced Cherry Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. McCown got some help from Perry Halford and his 22 assists. Finally, Noah Reynolds kept Cherry Creek's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Cherry Creek now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Eaglecrest, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Cherry Creek has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Overland on the 24th. As for Eaglecrest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Grandview on the 24th.
