Football Recap: J.L. Mann Takes a Loss

J.L. Mann had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it six. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Greenville Red Raiders. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

As for Greenville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Greenville found their leader in sophomore Kiishawn Farrow, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 94 yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. J.L. Mann will challenge rival Woodmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Greenville is set to face off against their familiar foe Easley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Farrow and Josiah Coleman.
