Basketball Recap: Burleson Comes Up Short

Burleson lost against Seguin back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Burleson Elks were beaten by the Seguin Cougars 78-25. The contest marked the Elks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Burleson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-14 record this season. As for Seguin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-14.

Burleson and Seguin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Burleson will challenge Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 383 places (445 vs. 62). Similarly, Seguin (ranked 291st) will meet Mansfield Timberview (ranked 56th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
