Softball Recap: Maxwell Panthers vs. Hamilton Braves

Maxwell had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 9-15-1 to make it five. They came up short against the Hamilton Braves, falling 13-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 24-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Maxwell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Hamilton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7. Considering they have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Punzo is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Odom, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-4 defeat against Quincy on the 6th. Hopefully Maxwell paid attention to the Braves' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
