Softball Recap: Kaneland Takes a Loss

Kaneland lost against LaSalle-Peru back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights fell 6-2 to the Cavaliers.

Ansley Ruh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base.

Kaneland's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for LaSalle-Peru, the victory was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-3.

Looking ahead, Kaneland will welcome Aurora Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for LaSalle-Peru, they are taking a road trip to square off against Serena at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
