Softball Game Preview: West Vikings vs. North Stars

For the second straight game, West will face off against North. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Stars at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. West has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 25.

North hit West with a 11-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings lost 18-8 to the Stars. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly ten runs.

For North's part, they got a massive performance out of Bayleigh Wood, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave Wood a new career-high. Allison Jauregui was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .647. They are 15-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

West's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for North, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
