Softball Recap: Lake Cormorant Comes Up Short

Lake Cormorant lost against Saltillo back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lake Cormorant fell 5-2 to Saltillo. Lake Cormorant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chatham Hamberlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

Lake Cormorant's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Saltillo, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Cormorant will face off against Olive Branch at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Cormorant are facing the Conquistadors at the right time seeing as the Conquistadors are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Saltillo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mooreville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
