Baseball Game Preview: Long Branch Green Wave vs. Henry Hudson Admirals

For the second straight game, Long Branch will face off against Henry Hudson. The Green Wave will host the Admirals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Long Branch made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Henry Hudson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Green Wave's pitcher stepped up to hand the Admirals a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Green Wave not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024.

Not much got past Carlos Torres, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Henry Hudson off the board.

On the hitting side, Kellen Campbell was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was David Jules, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Long Branch's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Henry Hudson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
