Basketball Recap: Cottage Grove Drops Season-High Score on Junction City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cottage Grove). They enjoyed a cozy 73-54 victory over the Junction City Tigers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-59 back in January.

Cottage Grove's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Junction City, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Cottage Grove will square off against North Bend at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Grove is facing North Bend at the right time seeing as North Bend is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Junction City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marist at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Marist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Junction City likes a good challenge.
