Basketball Game Preview: Pinconning Spartans vs. St. Louis Sharks

The Pinconning Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the St. Louis Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinconning is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Pinconning was beaten by Meridian 70-37. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 595th, while the Mustangs are ranked 111th).

Meanwhile, St. Louis lost to Meridian at home by a 58-42 margin on Monday. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Pinconning's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Louis, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Pinconning suffered a grim 52-31 defeat to St. Louis in their previous matchup back in January. Can Pinconning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
