Softball Recap: Cypress Woods Wildcats vs. Cypress Ranch Mustangs
After flying high against Cypress Springs two weeks ago, Cypress Woods came back down to earth. The Cypress Woods Wildcats lost 12-6 to the Cypress Ranch Mustangs on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Tristan Hopkins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassidy St Clair, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Cypress Woods now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Cypress Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Cypress Woods Wildcats face off against Cypress Park Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Park has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.42 runs per game on average), something Cypress Woods will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cypress Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bridgeland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
