Soccer Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Santa Monica Vikings. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1077th, while Santa Monica are ranked 23rd).

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Santa Monica, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centennial will challenge rival Lawndale at 5:23 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Santa Monica is set to take on their familiar foe Leuzinger at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
