Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Carvers Bay's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Carvers Bay won against Green Sea Floyds last Tuesday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Carvers Bay Bears took down the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders 58-41. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 43-32 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Carvers Bay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamie Graham, who went 6 of 15 en route to 14 points along with six boards and four steals. Those four steals gave Graham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaden Bell, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Carvers Bay was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hannah-Pamplico only posted nine assists.

Despite the loss, Hannah-Pamplico still got an impressive performance from Tylin Jenkins, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. Jenkins has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Va'Shon Washington also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Carvers Bay has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Carvers Bay will face off against Johnsonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carvers Bay will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Hannah-Pamplico has already played their next game, a 60-55 defeat against Hartsville on the 18th.
