After a string of nine wins, Herscher's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to the Clifton Central Comets 44-39. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in February.

Herscher's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4. As for Clifton Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Herscher won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Coal City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clifton Central, they and Gardner-South Wilmington will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played.
