Softball Recap: Cooper Has No Trouble Against Lincoln County

The Cooper Jaguars got the win against the Lincoln County Patriots on Friday by a conclusive 11-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

The team relied heavily on Emory Sullivan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Alivia Scott also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Cooper's record is now 3-11. As for Lincoln County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Cooper will be taking part in a tournament against Webster County at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln County, they will be playing at home against Bourbon County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Colonels at the right time seeing as the Colonels are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
