Basketball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Culver Community's Winning Streak

If Culver Community was riding high fresh off their 38-17 takedown of Triton last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Culver Community Cavaliers fell 36-25 to the Glenn Falcons on Thursday. The Cavaliers lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-20 score last time.

Glenn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Reese, who posted nine points. Reese is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Daelynn Nance was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

With the loss, Culver Community broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8. As for Glenn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Culver Community will welcome Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenn, they will square off against Bremen at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bremen will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Glenn surely won't give up without a fight.
