Basketball Recap: Ely Piles Up the Points Against Mesabi East

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Deer River, Ely was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Mesabi East Giants, posting a 70-43 win. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 25 points or more this season.

Ely is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Mesabi East, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-12.

Ely has already played their next contest, a 108-36 victory against Lake of the Woods on the 8th. As for Mesabi East, they will be playing at home against Two Harbors at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
