Football Game Preview: Madison Central Indians vs. Bryan Station Defenders

Madison Central is 2-8 against Bryan Station since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Defenders at 7:30 p.m. Madison Central's defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so Bryan Station's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Madison Central's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past George Rogers Clark 49-0. Considering the Indians have won five games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Madison Central found their leader in sophomore Gavyn Kinley, who rushed for 75 yards and one score.

Madison Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as George Rogers Clark only rushed for -2.

Meanwhile, Bryan Station ended up a good deal behind Frederick Douglass on Friday and lost 27-10. The Defenders have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Madison Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points over those games. As for Bryan Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Madison Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Bryan Station in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, sneaking past 21-19. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Defenders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
