Volleyball Recap: Sabino Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sabino can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the ALA - West Foothills Guardians on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Sabercats haven't been shut out since back in March.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-5, 25-8.

Titan Ashton was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last six games. Cameron Lauer also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Sabino's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for ALA - West Foothills, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-4.

Sabino does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for ALA - West Foothills, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Gilbert Classical Academy on the 13th.
