It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Frankston had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Hawkins Hawks. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Frankston pushed their record up to 22-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Hawkins, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-9-1.
