Basketball Recap: Wagner Snags 22nd Victory in Last 23 Games

Wagner had won seven straight road games and La Sneed did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Wagner Thunderbirds blew past the Alamo Heights Mules 61-36 thanks in part to Sneed, who went 9 of 16 en route to 21 points in addition to six assists and six steals. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nahilah Bell, who posted four points and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Alamo Heights lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mary Chambless, who put up eight points. Berkley Hart was another key player, putting up 20 points and three blocks.

Wagner is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-3 record this season. As for Alamo Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-19.

As of now, neither Wagner nor Alamo Heights have any future games scheduled.
