Lubbock-Cooper is 8-2 against Coronado since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lubbock-Cooper Pirates will welcome the Coronado Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Lubbock-Cooper and three for Coronado.

On Saturday, Lubbock-Cooper was beaten by Palo Duro 75-43. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Dons are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Coronado came up short against Amarillo on Saturday and fell 43-31. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Lubbock-Cooper, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Lubbock-Cooper was able to grind out a solid victory over Coronado in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 52-44. Will Lubbock-Cooper repeat their success, or does Coronado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
