Recap: Edmonson County Wildcats vs. Todd County Central Rebels
The Edmonson County Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 26-14 to Todd County Central. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but Edmonson County was blown out by Todd County Central in the second.
Todd County Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miles Reding, who threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Fitzgerald, who picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Edmonson County's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.3 points per game. As for Todd County Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Edmonson County will head out on the road to face off against Breckinridge County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Todd County Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
