Herscher had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They skirted past the Prairie Central Hawks  10-8. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.
 Anistin Hackley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned  (and three unearned) runs on six hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Keira Ahramovich, who  fired off two  home runs and three  runs while going 3-for-5.  Chloe Kinkade was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Ahramovich wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Herscher  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Prairie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Herscher Tigers  face off against  Milford Bearcats at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Prairie Central, they will face off against Dwight at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
