Basketball Recap: West Bladen Comes Up Short

West Bladen played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the East Bladen Eagles 68-21. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-11.

Despite the loss, West Bladen still got an impressive performance from Micheala Hester, who posted six points.

East Bladen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Laila Smith, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was NeNe Ward, who went 8-for-10 en route to 17 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

This is the second loss in a row for West Bladen and nudges their season record down to 5-15. As for East Bladen, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

West Bladen has already played their next contest, a 40-37 win against Red Springs on the 14th. East Bladen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
