With a playoff win on the line, Tipton rose to the challenge on Monday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 58-57 victory over the Northwest Mustangs. 58 seems to be a good number for the Cardinals as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Tipton was led to victory by Lucas Cashman and William Cashman. Lucas went 8-for-11 to rack up 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while William went 6-for-12 on his way to 20 points and three steals. Those 20 points gave William a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Schlotzhauer, who posted five points and three steals.

Tipton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are 4-2 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Tipton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. Northwest is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

Tipton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-47 loss against Slater on the 26th. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
