Basketball Recap: Little Cypress-Mauriceville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Little Cypress-Mauriceville came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the West Orange-Stark Mustangs by a score of 56-47 on Friday. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 58-53 loss the last time these two teams met.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for West Orange-Stark, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville and Woodville will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Orange-Stark, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vidor at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
