Softball Game Preview: Clinton Gaels vs. Littleton Tigers

The Clinton Gaels will take on the Littleton Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Clinton fell victim to Tyngsborough and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-0. The Gaels haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Littleton didn't have quite enough to beat Lunenburg on Thursday and fell 6-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maeve Tule made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Madeline Colson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Littleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Clinton's way against Littleton in their previous matchup back in April, as Clinton made off with a 14-4 win. Will the Gaels repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
