Volleyball Game Preview: Plainville Cardinals vs. Wallace County Wildcats

The Plainville Cardinals will take on the Wallace County Wildcats in a tournament on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Plainville duked it out with Western Plains on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1.

Plainville actually scored more points across those three sets (71-65), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Wallace County came up short against Greeley County on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15.

Wallace County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Plainville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
