Soccer Game Preview: Norman vs. Mustang

Norman hasn't had much luck against Mustang recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Norman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Moore, who was ranked 17th at the time (Norman was ranked seventh). The Tigers never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for Norman as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jamilla Burnett and Carsyn Deligans scored all three of Norman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Enid kept up with Mustang until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Broncos put the hurt on the Plainsmen with a sharp 4-0 victory. Give Mustang's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Norman's win bumped their record up to 5-1-2. As for Mustang, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0-1.

Norman couldn't quite get it done against Mustang in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 4-2. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
