Artesia has gone 9-1 against Goddard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Artesia Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Goddard Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Goddard better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Artesia really get things going. Artesia blew past Portales 74-48 on Tuesday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 21 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Goddard earned a 59-49 victory over Lovington on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Artesia is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Goddard, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Everything came up roses for Artesia against Goddard when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 63-25 victory. Will Artesia repeat their success, or does Goddard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
