Baseball Game Preview: Quincy Blue Devils vs. Beardstown Tigers

The Quincy Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Beardstown Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Quincy didn't have quite enough to beat East Moline United and fell 10-9.

Kade Parkhill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Konrad, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Meanwhile, Beardstown waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 9-5.

Beardstown's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Quincy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
