Basketball Recap: Redwood Valley Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marshall, Redwood Valley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Delano Tigers by a score of 84-76. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Tigers are ranked 199th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Redwood Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Delano, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Redwood Valley will venture away from home to face off against Montevideo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Montevideo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Delano, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Byron at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday.
